Job summary

A family owned electrical contractor serving the Greater Milwaukee area is seeking a licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician. This position offers a starting rate of $49.50/hour with the potential for a $10,000 hiring bonus for qualified candidates. Responsibilities include installing and troubleshooting electrical systems, maintaining job site safety, and working independently as part of a cohesive team. Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems per the National Electric Code (NEC).
  • Clean and maintain job site, tools, and vehicles.
  • Participate in safety talks and audits.

Reports to: Project Manager / General Field Superintendent

Qualifications
Essential Functions
  • Installs, maintains, and/or troubleshoots electrical systems in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC)
  • Demonstrates ability to work without direct supervision
  • Installs conduit systems, various lighting systems, and control systems
  • Installs motor feeders and makes standard motor connections
  • Cleans and maintains job site, tools, and vehicles
  • Consistently follows workplace safety procedures
  • Participates in toolbox talks, safety audits, and related safety functions
  • Immediately identifies, corrects, and/or reports any unsafe acts, conditions, or incidents in a timely manner
  • Works as a member of a cohesive team
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Education and Experience

A high school diploma or GED; and completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent work experience.

Computer Skills

General computer skills preferred.

Certificates and Licenses

Must possess one of the following licenses:

  • Wisconsin Master Electrician License
  • Wisconsin Journeyman Electrician License
Training

Current First Aid/CPR and Osha 10-Hour trainings are required in order to perform this job.

Physical Demands

The employee will be required to lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs during the course of a work day.

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily in indoor and outdoor settings with regular exposure to cold, heat, direct sun light, dirt, hazardous electrical / specialty systems equipment and wiring, and underground and elevated heights.
