Job summary

ThinkTek LLC, based in the United States, seeks an experienced Journeyman Management Analyst to support a high‑level Department of War team. The role emphasizes synthesizing complex acquisition data into decision‑ready documentation and delivering actionable insights to program leadership.

You will build and maintain executive dashboards in Power BI and manage briefing repositories in SharePoint, ensuring version control and timely delivery of materials for senior leadership reviews.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years delivering strategic communications support for senior leaders
  • Familiarity with DoW Acquisition Frameworks, FAR, and DFARS
  • Experience synthesizing complex technical and acquisition jargon into consumable, decision-support documentation
  • Experience developing and sustaining briefing repositories within DoW systems
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional coordination across SMEs and Government Senior Leaders
  • Proficiency with Power BI, SharePoint, and MS Office to develop executive reporting dashboards
  • Ability to establish, maintain, and sustain briefing repositories on Government IT systems with version control
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to senior leadership

Responsibilities

  • Inventory existing task dashboards, repositories, templates, current products, source systems, and open taskers to develop validated artifact inventory
  • Maintain updated visibility across all taskings and requirements through regular coordination with the team and Agency senior leaders
  • Identify at-risk suspenses and route priority or conflict decisions based on escalation pathways
  • Provide concise leadership views of open, pending, urgent, and overdue requirements
  • Assess structure, permissions, naming, metadata, and archival rules for briefing repository communications materials
  • Upload all briefings and working products to designated repository with complete production records and version control
  • Maintain repository of senior leader briefing materials through approved taxonomy and naming conventions
  • Archive finalized and approved products upon approval
  • Maintain Senior Leader Playbook of talking points and scripts with regular updates
  • Support development of executive information papers and strategic communications for senior leaders
  • Coordinate targeted interviews with SMEs across program, engineering, acquisition, logistics, and analytics
  • Draft VIP read-aheads, point papers, and executive decks ahead of senior leader engagements

Journeyman Management Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Management Analyst to support a high-performance Department of War (DoW) team specialized in providing executive-level support and responsible for driving, integrating, and executing top-level strategic, operational, and communication priorities. The successful candidate will support synthesizing complex technical and acquisition programmatic data into a wide variety of highly consumable, decision-ready documentation. This role requires strong written and verbal communication skills, expertise in dashboarding and task management through Power BI and SharePoint, attention to detail, and the ability to provide actionable insights to program leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory existing task dashboard, repositories, templates, current products, source systems, and open taskers to develop validated artifact inventory, repository map, access list, version baseline, and open-task list
  • Maintain updated visibility across all taskings and requirements through regular coordination across the team and with Agency senior leaders
  • Identify at-risk suspenses and route priority or conflict decisions based on established escalation pathways
  • Provide concise leadership views of open, pending, urgent, and overdue requirements
  • Assess and establish structure, permissions, naming, metadata, and archival rules for briefing repository for communications materials
  • Upload all briefings and working products to the designated repository, ensuring complete production record with controlled working and review versions
  • Maintain repository of senior leader briefing materials through approved repository map, taxonomy, naming convention, roles, and product roles
  • Archive finalized and approved products upon approval
  • Maintain Senior Leader Playbook of consolidated talking points, one-pagers, and related communications materials, providing regular updates as programmatic updates occur
  • Support development of executive information papers, strategic communications, and technical documentation appropriate for an audience of senior leaders
  • Coordinate targeted interviews with program, engineering, acquisition, logistics, and analytic SMEs
  • Draft VIP read-aheads, point papers, executive decks, talking points, and scripts, in advance of senior leader engagements, ensuring accuracy of all information
Required Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting the strategic communications and/or executive leader support within the Department of War (DoW)
    • Familiarity with DoW Acquisition Frameworks, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
    • Demonstrated experience synthesizing complex technical and acquisition jargon into consumable, decision-support documentation
    • Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and sustaining briefing repositories within DoW systems
    • Demonstrated experience facilitating cross-functional coordination across SMEs and Government Senior Leaders
    • Demonstrated success with using PowerBI, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office suite of products to develop and deliver executive reporting dashboards
    • Proficiency with establishing, maintaining, and sustaining briefing repositories on Government IT systems to ensure version control, traceability, naming conventions, etc.
    • Ability to track multiple, competing deadlines and recommend escalation and/or risk mitigation measures to ensure on-time delivery of highest-priority items
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to senior leadership.
  • Clearance:
    • Active Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs.
  • Knowledge of Defense Acquisition System processes and program management best practices.
  • Experience supporting executive-level program reviews and governance boards.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $85,030 – $95,020. This range is a good-faith estimate and not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation will be based on factors including experience, education, skills, geographic location, internal equity, market data, and applicable contract requirements, and may fall outside the posted range.
