What?
The Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic effectively maintains plant equipment and facilities to support production and other business needs. This role performs service, repairs and preventative maintenance and troubleshoots complex issues utilizing mechanical, diagnostic and analytical skills.
Main aspects of the role include:
OFD contains office, manufacturing and outdoor workspaces where this position is required to access and work. The position requires a person to be able to frequently walk, stand and climb; bend and twist; see, hear and talk; use hands to type, handle or feel tools, controls; use hands and arms to reach, hold and carry tools or items. This position also requires a person to handle environments of varied temperatures and with various food allergens present; and be comfortable at various heights.

This individual will have experience with processing and packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment, along with a high school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a state-certified mechanical apprenticeship program (such as a millwright) or equivalent is required. Additional certifications, such as a state-certified course, LME apprenticeship, or related training, are a plus. Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) programs is also beneficial. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently. Reliable transportation is required to travel between company locations.
