What?
Maintains plant refrigeration system performing service, repair and preventative maintenance. Maintains refrigeration system mechanical integrity, system documentation, and performs maintenance rounds. Journeyman level industrial maintenance mechanic responsibilities are in addition to refrigeration duties as available.

OFD contains office, manufacturing and outdoor workspaces where this position is required to access and work. The position requires a person to be able to frequently walk, stand and climb; bend and twist; see, hear and talk; use hands to type, handle or feel tools, controls; use hands and arms to reach, hold and carry tools or items. This position also requires a person to handle environments of varied temperatures and with various food allergens present; and be comfortable at various heights.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled and dependable technician with at least four years of experience in ammonia refrigeration and general equipment maintenance within a manufacturing environment. This individual will have hands-on experience maintaining and/or repairing canning and packing equipment, boilers, compressors, hydraulic systems, and vacuum systems.
This individual will have successfully completed a state-certified mechanical apprenticeship program (e.g., millwright) and hold a current RETA (Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians Association) certification. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently.
Completion of a state-certified course, LME apprenticeship, and additional skills in electronics, computers, or a degree in Applied Science (A/S or B/S) are highly desirable. Additionally, reliable transportation is necessary to be able to transport between company locations.
