Job summary

NAC, an APi Group company, seeks a Journeyman Limited Energy Installation Technician to install, test, troubleshoot, and service low-voltage systems in commercial facilities. This is a union role based in Minnesota with opportunities to advance through hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of low-voltage or limited energy installation experience.
• Experience with fire alarm, security, access control, CCTV, and data cabling systems.
• Ability to work independently and lead installation projects.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Install and service fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion alarm, and structured cabling systems.
• Read and interpret plans, riser diagrams, and specifications.
• Perform device terminations, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure installations comply with Minnesota code requirements, NEC, NFPA 72, and project specifications.
• Complete project documentation, testing reports, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, inspectors, and project managers.
• Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
