Job summary

APIC Solutions Inc. seeks driven Low Voltage, Special Systems, Security and Life Safety Systems, and Voice/Data Technicians to support daily field operations and project execution.

You will install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems across multiple disciplines, read blueprints, and ensure compliance with NEC and local codes while mentoring apprentices and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience installing low voltage special systems and/or data infrastructure for commercial projects (REQUIRED!).
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and vehicle liability insurance
• Journeyman license (ES3J/7) is required
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal & time management skills
• Travel Required
• Must be a team player, self-motivated, career oriented, with a desire to contribute to company growth
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic), fire alarm, security (CCTV, access control, intrusion) and audio/visual systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications; perform system testing, commissioning, and documentation
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades
• Mentor and supervise apprentices or helpers; maintain accurate job records and service reports
• Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations; maintain tools, test equipment, and company vehicles
