Job summary

Diverse Power Inc. is seeking an apprentice lineworker in a general construction role. Trainees will learn to work on overhead and URD distribution lines under supervision, gain hands-on experience, and participate in safety and technical training.

Responsibilities include pole work, transformer installation, underground line tasks, and on-call maintenance. The program emphasizes safety, equipment operation, and practical skill development in a utility setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Must obtain a valid commercial driver’s license within six months.
• On the job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Frames, sets and aligns poles.
• Installs and changes out all transformers.
• Installs underground primary and secondary lines, pad mount transformers and related equipment.
• Performs hot line work.
• Loads and unloads poles, transformers and other materials.
• Inspects work for safety and quality; follows specifications and codes.
• Reads meters and performs basic line maintenance tasks.
• Trims trees and clears right-of-way as needed.
