Job summary

PacifiCorp seeks a Journeyman Lineman for onsite work in Rawlins, WY. You will install, maintain, and repair transmission and distribution systems, overhead and underground, using bucket lifts and related equipment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, formal apprenticeship, Journeyman certification or UWUA 127 testing, and a Class A CDL. Physical demands are significant and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Journeyman Lineman certification and/or UWUA 127 testing.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship training program.
• Must meet examining board review of skills and experience.
• Formal hot stick training and experience.
• Must own, or be able to obtain, a Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair all transmission and distribution electrical systems and equipment, overhead and underground.
• Operate line trucks, aerial boom lifts, wire pulling equipment.
• Construct, repair or maintain line equipment; string, splice and sag wire on live or dead circuits.
• Train and direct trainees or apprentices in the trade.
