Job summary

Homer Electric Association, Inc. seeks a Journeyman Lineman to perform construction, operation, and maintenance of transmission and distribution lines on the Homer Facility.

The role requires adherence to safety standards and the ability to work both on overhead and underground systems. Candidates must have completed an approved apprenticeship and hold a Journeyman Lineman certification with CFR 1910.269, plus Alaska Electrical Certificate of Fitness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified apprenticeship and Journeyman Lineman exam per CFR 1910.269.
• Annual proficiency demonstrated as required by OSHA CFR 1910.269.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical construction and maintenance per drawings and safety standards.
• Assemble or install overhead lines, poles, towers, and fixtures.
• Install splices, terminations, transformers, cabinets, switches and conduits.
• Operate equipment and vehicles for power line work.
• Respond to outages and maintenance outside regular hours.
• Provide professional, courteous service to members and reflect well on HEA.
