Job summary

Kids for the Future seeks an experienced A-Lineman - Journeyman to construct, maintain, and repair electrical power systems. You will ensure safe, reliable power delivery, work independently and in teams, and mentor apprentices.

A strong safety commitment and five years of journeyman experience are required. Responsibilities include installing, repairing, and maintaining distribution lines, transformers, and related equipment, with on-call and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a certified lineman apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Installs and repairs overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
• Maintains power lines to ensure performance and safety.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical equipment in substations.
• Applies lineman skills to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Operates and maintains bucket trucks and other specialized equipment.
• Installs, maintains, and replaces transformers.
• Adheres to safety regulations and procedures.
• Provides guidance to apprentice linemen.
• Participates in emergency response and outage restoration efforts.
• Makes decisions regarding safe methods for electrical work.
