Job summary

PacifiCorp in Yakima, Washington, is seeking a Journeyman Lineman to install, maintain, and repair transmission and distribution systems, overhead and underground, using line trucks, aerial booms, lifts and related equipment. Responsibilities include pole climbing, hot sticking, and working from bucket lifts on live or de-energized lines; may train a trainee.

A Journeyman Lineman certification or IBEW Local 125 training, high school diploma, formal training, and Class A CDL are required, with

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Journeyman Lineman certification or testing through IBEW Local 125.
• Completion of a formal training program for a Journeyman Lineman.
• Must meet examining board review of skills and experience.
• Candidate must have formal hot stick training and experience.
• Must own, or be able to obtain, a Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Post-offer, pre-placement physical capacity screening by a licensed physical therapist.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair transmission and distribution electrical systems and equipment, overhead and underground.
• Operate line trucks, aerial booms, lifts and wire pulling equipment.
• Perform pole climbing, hot sticking and work from bucket lifts on live or dead circuits.
• Train and direct a trainee in the trade.
