Job summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a Journeyman Lineman to install, maintain and repair transmission and distribution lines, both overhead and underground, in Worland, WY. The job involves climbing, operating bucket lifts, and training apprentices. Rubber gloving training may lead to higher pay once qualified.

The position requires a high school diploma, Journeyman certification or UWUA 127 testing, an apprenticeship, and a Class A CDL. A post-offer physical screening is also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Journeyman Lineman certification and/or UWUA 127 testing completed.
• Formal apprenticeship training completed.
• Must pass examining board review of skills and experience.
• Must have hot stick training and experience.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) possessed or obtainable.
• Post-offer, pre-placement physical capacity screening required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair transmission and distribution electrical systems and equipment, overhead and underground.
• Operate line trucks, aerial bucket lifts, and wire pulling equipment; climb poles and string conductors.
• Train and direct the work of trainees/apprentices in the trade; rubber gloving training provided.
• Increase to the Qualified Journeyman Lineman rate after rubber gloving qualification.
