Job summary

Bandera Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Lineman-1 to maintain and repair our electric distribution system in Central Texas. You will train Apprentices and supervise crews while upholding safe work practices and the Lineman Progression Program.

Qualified candidates will hold a Texas Driver’s License, CDL Class A, First Aid/CPR, Pole Top Rescue and Bucket Rescue certifications. We offer competitive wages, generous benefits, PTO and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Pole Top Rescue and Bucket Rescue certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties on ground and overhead under energized line conditions.
• Train and mentor Lineman positions and apprentices.
• Lead and delegate service and work orders to crew.
• Ensure documents for service/work orders are completed with signatures.
• Provide support for outages and maintain equipment.
• Assemble materials and inspect vehicles/tools for safe use.
• Identify and resolve issues quickly and safely.
