Job summary

ElectriCities of North Carolina seeks a Journeyman Lineworker to join our electric operations team in North Carolina. The role covers constructing, maintaining, and repairing power transmission and distribution lines, substations, and related equipment.

The ideal candidate has four years of verified lineworking experience, completion of the Lineman Career Development Program, and a valid CDL Class A license. Strong safety discipline is required for elevated work and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years verifiable experience as a Journey Lineworker.
• Successful completion or partial completion of the Lineman Career Development Program.
• Possession of a valid CDL Class A license or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and repair overhead and underground power lines, substations and related facilities.
• Operate bucket trucks and line trucks safely; perform voltage-related work at height.
• Install, test and service transformers, switches, and protective equipment.
• Lead crew in absence of the supervisor and train junior workers.
• Adhere to safety standards and procedures; conduct pre-job briefings and lockout/tagout.
