Job summary

Public Service Co. of OK (PSO), part of AEP, seeks a line worker to install, maintain, and repair transmission and distribution facilities.

You will operate line trucks, climb poles or ride buckets, and work with underground cables and transformers while ensuring safety and reliability of service. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid CDL A, and the ability to travel for overtime and on-call work.

Responsibilities

• Open and close switches and install grounding devices to lines and equipment.
• Climb and work at heights to install or repair wires and hardware on poles.
• Install and repair underground facilities such as cable, transformers, pedestals.
• Install pole hardware and auxiliary equipment (transformers, arresters, switches, fuses, insulators).
• Operate insulated poles and hot sticks for energized line work.
• Ability to work overtime and travel as required.
