Job summary

RES is seeking a Journeyman Lineman in Texas to maintain and repair overhead/underground electric transmission, distribution and substation systems. You’ll work under the crew Foreman or Superintendent and travel as required. The role demands adherence to safety standards and the ability to operate heavy equipment.

Willingness to travel is a must. Responsibilities include installing lines, digging, climbing poles, testing equipment, and mentoring Apprentices.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program and held the position of journeyman lineman for a minimum of 5 years.
• Journeyman Lineman Card or verifiable work experience.
• Valid CDL license with excellent driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair overhead and underground distribution lines.
• Operate heavy and light equipment (digger derricks, aerial lifts, backhoes) and use tools of the trade.
• Digs holes/trenches, sets poles, climbs poles, strings wire, tests equipment.
• Mentor Apprentices and participate in safety meetings.
