Job summary
City of Wisconsin Dells is seeking a skilled Journeyman Lineman to join our team. This position assists in the operation, maintenance, and construction of the City's electrical power distribution and does work necessary to ensure the system operates reliably.
Hours are Monday-Friday, 7am to 4pm. This position offers a full benefit package including Wisconsin State Retirement, paid Vacation, Sick Time, 11 paid Holidays and generous Tier 1 State Health Plan Insurance benefits.
Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and CDL.
- Valid Journeyman Lineman Card.
- Lineman continuing education/safety programs.
- Any combination of experience or training proving capability to perform the work.
Responsibilities
- Operating, maintaining, and constructing the electric distribution system.
- Assist with hot line work from bucket truck or pole with climbing equipment.
- Assist with maintenance of street lighting and water system.
- Perform sub-station switching and operations.
- Assist in maintenance of trucks and equipment and inventory control.
- Adhere to proper safety protocols and training requirements.
- Tree trimming around power lines.
