Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer Journeyman responsible for preparing, handling, and supplying materials for other crafts on the jobsite. The role includes loading and unloading, scaffolding, level ground, building with concrete, and guiding Laborers and Apprentices.

Qualifications include a two-year apprenticeship and construction experience, with strong teamwork, communication, and physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Two-year apprenticeship is required.
• Experience in construction preferred.
• Ability to operate power and non-powered hand tools and machinery.
• Strong teamwork, customer service, communication, and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging.
• Level ground for scaffolding.
• Tend mortar and grout.
• Lift and move mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• Clean up debris and sweep/worksite.
• Place, push, pull, and set concrete.
• Vibrate concrete.
• Provide direction to Laborer I, II, Helpers, and Apprentice.
• Build relationships across diverse backgrounds.
