Job summary

Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer Journeyman that will be responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts. You will load and unload equipment, erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging, level ground for scaffolding, tend mortar and grout, and move materials between wheelbarrows and buckets.

The role also requires guiding Laborer I, II, Helpers, and Apprentice with a strong focus on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year apprenticeship program.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools including vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging.
• Level ground for scaffolding.
• Tend mortar and grout; move materials between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout.
• Vibrate concrete; place or shovel concrete.
• Provide direction to Laborer I, II, Helpers, and Apprentice.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite with debris control.
• All other duties as assigned.
