The ideal candidate has 5+ years of carpentry experience, owns a full tool set, and can read blueprints. Safety and reliability are essential for steady year-round work and career growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial carpentry or completion of a formal apprenticeship.
• Live in or relocate to the Cleveland, Ohio area.
• Own a complete set of journeyman-level hand and power tools.
• Deep understanding of carpentry techniques and the ability to read blueprints.
• Stable employment history with verifiable references.
• Reliable transportation to job sites and ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interior/Exterior Metal Stud Framing
• Drywall Hanging
• Layout and installation of acoustical ceiling grid and tile
• A Journeyman Carpenter would have worked on commercial carpentry projects for years, and would be familiar with most aspects of metal stud framing, including exterior/interior, heavy/light gauge, soffit work, acoustical ceilings, and drywall hanging
• Read and interpret technical drawings, building codes, and sketches to determine project dimensions and material needs
• Inspect and replace damaged frameworks or structures in both new builds and remodeling projects.
• Ensure all work follows OSHA standards and local building regulations

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Proven commercial carpentry experience as a journeyman carpenter (typically 5+ years or completion of a formal apprenticeship).
• Live in or are willing to relocate to the Cleveland, Ohio area
• Must own a complete set of journeyman-level hand and power tools.
• Deep understanding of carpentry techniques and proficiency with blueprints
• Stable employment history with verifiable references
• Reliable transportation to job sites and a strong work either
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a background check
• Must be able to pass a drug screening
