Job summary

Graywolf Integrated Construction Company in Morgan City, LA is seeking a journeyman Ironworker for a 6-month project. You will move heavy equipment and materials using cranes and lifts, perform rigging and framing, and ensure structural integrity through plans and loads.

The role requires 4+ years of heavy industrial experience, tool ownership, and pre-hire requirements. Oxyfuel cutting, math for loads, and accurate signaling are essential.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years minimum heavy industrial field experience as an Ironworker.
• Must supply own locking toolbox and tools.
• Completion of pre-hire requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely use advanced rigging procedures and equipment.
• Locate and move material with lifts following safety guidelines.
• Set up framing by positioning girders and bolting or prepping for welding.
• Ensure reinforcing material is in proper position to bear loads.
• Read blueprints and drawings to understand final structures.
• Visualize three-dimensional objects from plans and drawings.
• Perform oxyfuel cutting: straight lines, squares, piercing, slots.
• Communicate effectively with all personnel; assist with load calculations.
• Complete pre-lift checklists and assist operator with lift plans.
• Proficient in hand signals for lift operations.
