TIC – The Industrial Company is seeking an Ironworker Journeyman for a project in Abilene, TX. The role involves layout, installation, assembly and steel erection per blueprints and specs, with a $35/hour pay rate and a 5/10 schedule, dayshift, with OT as needed.

Requires 4+ years of ironworking experience in industrial or commercial settings, ability to read blueprints, and strong safety awareness. Candidates must pass pre-employment drug testing and background checks.

Competenze

• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, fit-for-duty medical & background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to procedures.
• Industrial construction experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Reads specifications or blueprints to determine material quantities and placements.
• Fabricates and assembles steel components per blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Unloads and positions prefabricated steel units using cranes or signaling operators.
• Verifies alignment of structural steel using plumb bobs, lasers, or levels.
• Cuts, bends, or welds steel pieces with appropriate tools and equipment.
• Positions structural steel pieces for bolting or welding.
• Assembles hoisting equipment and riggings to move heavy materials.
• Estimates sizes, distances, and resources required for tasks.
• Inspects work for contract compliance and quality.
