TIC Inc in Abilene, TX seeks an experienced ironworker to layout, install, assemble and erect structural steel according to blueprints and industry standards.

Responsibilities include reading specs, fabricating and positioning steel units, aligning members with tools, and rigging hoisting equipment. Must work outdoors, climb heights, and comply with safety rules. Intermediate level with strong communication and tool skills required.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent with experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to understand and communicate with supervision effectively.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools for layout and assembly.

Responsabilidades

• Reads specifications or blueprints to determine locations, quantities, or sizes of material required.
• Fabricates metal parts such as frames and beams according to blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Unloads and positions prefabricated steel units for hoisting and assists in lifting using cranes.
• Verifies alignment of structural steel members using plumb bobs, lasers, or levels.
• Cuts, bends, or welds steel pieces using shears, torches, or welding equipment.
• Assembles hoisting equipment or rigging to move heavy equipment or materials.
• Operates and follows safety rules for outdoor work and heights above 200 ft.
