Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior field experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and blueprints.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work with management.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools for construction tasks.

Responsibilities

• Read specifications or blueprints to determine material locations and quantities.
• Fabricate steel parts (frames, columns, beams, girders) per blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Unload and position prefabricated steel units; hoist beams using cranes or signaling operators.
• Verify alignment of structural steel using plumb bobs, lasers, transits, or levels.
• Cut, bend, or weld steel pieces using shears, torches, or welding equipment.
• Position structural members for final fastening with turnbuckles and jacks.
• Bolt structural members for riveting, bolting, or welding.
• Assemble hoisting equipment to move heavy materials.
