Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Journeyman Industrial Pipefitter to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, and processing across industrial sites.

You will work outdoors in varying weather, lift up to 50 pounds, and comply with stringent PPE and safety procedures; 3–5 years experience required. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Journeyman Industrial Pipefitter with minimum of 3 years of Pipefitting experience.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check as conditions of employment.
• Employees must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and use hands and fingers to perform assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems per specs.
• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe with appropriate tools.
• Attach pipes to walls and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
• Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems and related equipment; follow specs and use hand/power tools.
• Turn valves to shut off steam, water, or other gases/liquids from pipe sections.
