Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Journeyman Industrial Pipefitter to lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems for industrial production and processing systems. This full-time role requires a minimum of 3 years of pipefitting experience and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while wearing PPE.

Responsibilities include cutting, threading, and bending pipe, attaching pipes to walls and structures, planning layouts, and inspecting sites for obstructions.

Qualifications

• Must be a Journeyman Industrial Pipefitter with minimum of 3 years of Pipefitting experience.
• Ability to cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using common trades tools.
• Capable of working outdoors in all types of weather with required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications, using saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders.
• Attach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications.
• Select pipe sizes and types and related materials according to specifications.
• Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems and equipment following specifications.
• Turn valves to shut off steam, water, or other gases or liquids from pipe sections.
