Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Journeymen Mechanic I to support light and heavy commercial customers. You’ll perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on commercial HVAC systems and collaborate with journeymen, servicemen, and apprentices to resolve issues and optimize facility performance.

You will provide trusted recommendations, quotes, and service communication while prioritizing safety and accuracy on the job in a team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with rooftop units, pumps, fans, boilers, chillers, and compressors.
• EPA refrigerants license and valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel 10%–20% to support branch activities.
• Membership in, or willingness to join, the UA union or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement on commercial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot HVACR issues in light or heavy commercial environments.
• Assist with commissioning and aftermarket service activities.
