Comfort Systems USA (Mid South) is seeking a full-time HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic – Journeyman in Montgomery, Alabama. This role involves fabrication, assembly, and installation of HVAC systems, requiring hands-on experience with sheet metal. Candidates must be able to work independently while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The position offers competitive pay, medical benefits, and generous PTO. The ideal candidate will have journeyman-level experience, be able to read blueprints, and work with other trades on site.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level experience in HVAC sheet metal installation on commercial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow detailed installation instructions.
• Familiarity with ATU, RTU, split systems, and commercial duct applications.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair HVAC sheet metal ductwork and components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Seal, insulate, and support duct systems for proper airflow.

Skills

Journeyman-level experience in HVAC sheet metal installation

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Ability to work independently

Education

Completion of a sheet metal apprenticeship program

Journeyman HVAC or Sheet Metal certification

OSHA 10-Hour certification
