Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC Journeyman Technician for the Irving, TX area. This Bargaining Unit position involves servicing light to heavy commercial systems, with travel to support branch customers.

Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry. EPA refrigerant license and valid driver’s license required; 8+ years in HVAC troubleshooting; ability to work with centrifugal compressors,

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with rooftop units, pumps, fans, boilers, chillers, compressors.
• Ability to troubleshoot centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers; ammonia/hydrocarbon systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and replace commercial HVACR systems.
• Provide on-site quotes and recommendations to customers.
• Coordinate with union journeymen and apprentices; participate in training programs.
