Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking forward-thinking HVAC mechanics to support our fast-growing North America HVAC business. The role covers light and heavy commercial systems, with emphasis on maintenance, repair, and aftersales service.

You must be a UA Journeyman or willing to join, bring 8+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC experience, and hold a universal EPA refrigerants license. We provide tools, uniforms, a company vehicle, and ongoing training through our Service Technical Academy.

Qualifications

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Minimum of eight (8) years Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry and related environments.
• Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers and ammonia/hydrocarbon system components.
• Maintain ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certification.
• Able to install complete systems including chillers, rooftop units, plumbing and supporting mechanical systems.
• Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related items.
• As a trusted advisor, provide solutions and outcomes at commissioning and aftermarket service, including quotes.
• Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Travel to Branch Customers activities as needed to support trouble shooting, installation and repair.
