Base pay range: $38.00/hr - $38.00/hr

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman HVAC Mechanic to install, service, repair, and maintain refrigeration machinery and equipment in accordance with industry standards. Seniority may determine shift assignments, with a high likelihood of off-shift work.

Responsibilities

1. Assist with equipment installation, assembly, and layout based on blueprints and specifications.
2. Adjust and regulate valves, controls, thermocouples, and thermostats.
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot failed components, determine parts needed, and coordinate repairs.
4. Perform emergency repairs on refrigeration units and test equipment post-repair.
5. Understand refrigerant flow, diagnose malfunctions, and use related tools and instruments.
6. Assist in planning installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
7. Maintain HVAC systems including condensers, evaporators, cooling towers, and more.
8. Perform system tests, maintain logs, and communicate effectively with management.
9. Maintain tools and assist with other maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current Journeyman's HVAC license from Maryland.
• HS Diploma or GED.
• At least 4 years of related experience.

Job Requirements

• Ability to diagnose, repair, and install HVAC systems using industry standards.
• Experience with refrigerant charging, evacuating, and recovering.
• Compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Ability to work at heights and in challenging environments, following safety protocols.

Desired Skills

• Experience with clean room environments, AutoCad HVAC tools, and large industrial HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in brazing and soldering and operating building automation systems.

Compensation & Benefits
