Job summary
American Residential Services is seeking a Journeyman Installer in Omaha, NE to perform HVAC installations in new construction, marking layouts, ducts, piping, wiring, and startup, using journeyman level skills and adherence to codes.
You will collaborate with builders and project managers and train Apprentice Helpers; required Omaha Journeyman license, driver’s license, and knowledge of local codes. ARS offers strong benefits and opportunities.
Qualifications
- City of Omaha Journeyman license; experience leading a crew strongly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of basic carpentry, gas piping, electricity and air flow.
- Valid driver’s license; working knowledge of local codes and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform or supervise all four stages of HVAC installations in new construction.
- Interface with builders, owners, and project managers to identify installation needs.
- Install ductwork, piping, wiring, and components per plan; ensure code compliance.
- Test system operation and document model/serial numbers and pressures.
- Train and support Apprentice Helpers on the job.
