Yakima County is seeking a Journeyman Facilities Maintenance Specialist to perform HVAC, electrical, and related maintenance across county facilities. The role involves diagnosing and repairing systems, reading blueprints, and ensuring safety and code compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 5 years building maintenance experience including 2 years HVAC or electrical repair at journey level.
• Licenses: HVAC/R Specialty Electrical License and EPA 608/609 or WA Journeyman Electrician License.
• Valid WA Driver’s License and background check are required.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, tests, modifies and installs HVAC components, parts and systems.
• Monitors HVAC performance and energy consumption; maintains control systems and energy savings.
• Programs DDC computers and creates graphics for energy management and diagnostics.
