Job summary

Seattle City Light is seeking experienced HVAC Technicians to perform journey‑level mechanical work on HVACR equipment and related building systems. The role requires four industry licenses and travel to various facilities, including remote sites, with potential days to two weeks away from Seattle.

The position reports to the Facilities Technical Supervisor. Key duties include repair, maintenance, and replacement of chillers, heat pumps, and control systems, plus safety adherence and record

Qualifications

• Two years of operation and maintenance of HVACR systems or equivalent training.
• Two years of HVACR coursework or completion of trade/technical schooling.
• License and/or certification requirements as listed for the role.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, repair, or replace HVACR equipment and related building systems.
• Coordinate maintenance, stock parts, update schedules, and keep records.
• Read blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting and project evaluation.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, electronic, and pneumatic HVAC systems.
• Respond to routine and emergency HVAC calls to meet standards and customer needs.
• Supervise HVAC systems and perform vital adjustments for efficiency.
