Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Journeyman Technician to join the fleet maintenance team. Responsibilities include maintaining a diverse range of equipment from various manufacturers, with propulsion systems including diesel, gasoline, and alternative technologies such as CNG, LNG, propane, hybrid, and electric in some locations.

Journeyman Technicians will troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls; be prepared to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, and have

Qualifications

• Current automotive/heavy equipment experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• ASE certifications - Preferred.
• Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements as required by job assignment.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently.
• Sits infrequently, as required.
• Exercises simple hand grasping, power hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reaching from foot level to above shoulder level.
• Operates standard and manual transmission.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
