Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking capable equipment operators to operate heavy construction equipment for excavation, road maintenance, and material handling. You will load, grade, and spread materials while helping ensure safety and efficiency on site.

The role involves inspecting equipment, performing repairs and maintenance, and potentially training other workers in safe operation and proper techniques. Candidates should be able to follow instructions and adapt to outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions with effective communication to management/supervision.
• Proficiency in safe and efficient use of electrical, hand, power, and layout tools; plus measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or several types of power construction equipment to excavate, move, and grade material.
• Load gravel, dirt, and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct driers for culverts and pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Inspect equipment and maintain fluid levels and lubrication.
• Potentially train employees in safe operation of equipment and job techniques.
• Inspect subordinates' work for compliance with plans and specs; identify and correct deficiencies.
