The Agency Recruiting isseeking a skilled and reliable Solar Electrician and Installerto join our client's solar energy team. This position is ideal for a licensed journeyman electricianwho enjoys working in the field, traveling to new project sites, and contributing to the development of solar energy systems across residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for wiring, installing, testing, and maintaining photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverters, energy storage systems, and related electrical components in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and industry best practices.
Install, wire, and troubleshoot residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar PV systems
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for layout and installation
Perform electrical wiring, conduit runs, and panel connections according to NEC standards
Mount and wire inverters, combiner boxes, disconnects, and monitoring systems
Ensure safety compliance and proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures on job sites
Conduct system testing, commissioning, and inspections to verify functionality and performance
Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other crew members to ensure project deadlines are met
Travel to job sites across multiple regions as needed; extended travel may be required
Active Journeyman Electrician License (state-specific; multi-state licensing a plus)
Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in electrical work, including 1+ years in solar PV installation preferred
Strong knowledge of NEC codes and OSHA safety standards
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work at heights, and perform physical tasks outdoors
Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and extended hours as needed
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Willingness to travel extensively and stay overnight when required
