Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 (J1) to work under a Foreman or Superintendent, with the opportunity to supervise a small crew of Helpers and Apprentices and to install, alter and repair electrical systems on project sites. Qualifications

• 5-7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Demonstrate Amteck Way in daily work activities and decision making.
• Able to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using tools.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels, and conductors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of circuiting; read blueprints and schematics.
• Lay out small work areas from drawings, including underground layout.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
