ENGIE North America is seeking an Electrician II to support the University of Iowa campus utility and central plant systems. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across campus production environments, reading blueprints and coordinating planned outages.

The role offers a 40-hour week, on-site duties, and a safety‑driven, veteran‑friendly team. Requires a journey‑level license and at least two years of hands‑on experience with electrical distribution and

Qualifications

• Current journey-level electrician license from Iowa or a reciprocal state.
• Minimum two years hands-on journey-level electrician experience.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and hazard precautions.

Responsabilités

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across campus environments.
• Perform preventive maintenance, testing, and repairs on switchgear, motors, and drives.
• Support operation of medium-voltage systems from 600V to 15kV under supervision.
• Diagnose electrical and control-system issues in motors and building automation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to plan work.
• Coordinate work sequences and document maintenance activities.
