ENGIE is hiring an Electrician I to support the University of Iowa campus utility and central plant systems in Iowa City. The role emphasizes safe, reliable electrical distribution and hands-on work with low to medium voltage equipment.

You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, participate in safety Planning, and work under the guidance of experienced High-Voltage Electricians. This is a full-time, on-site position with a strong safety culture.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Journeyman Electrician license (Class A or B) issued by Iowa or state with reciprocity.

Responsabilidades

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment under 600V across campus utility and production environments.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and repairs on switchgear, breakers, motors, MCCs, and VFDs.
• Prepare safety plans, conduct hazard evaluations, apply lockout/tagout procedures, and act as Person in Charge for routine electrical work.
