Qualifications

• High School Diploma or 2-year technical degree required.
• 4 years of electrical maintenance experience, municipal environment preferred.
• Must have valid Texas Class C driver’s license and State of Texas Journeyman Electrician’s License.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and fixtures for city facilities.
• Troubleshoot motors, controls, and electrical systems using schematics.
• Inspect systems for hazards and code compliance, adjust or repair as needed.
• Document maintenance activities and train junior electricians as required.
• Perform preventative maintenance and lay wires per diagrams.
• Read blueprints to determine equipment locations and safety conformance.
• Work shifts as needed, including nights, weekends, or 24/7 emergencies.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure safe, reliable electrical service.
