Job summary

UM26 Frostburg State University (FSU) is seeking an Electrician to perform journey-level electrical work, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience in the electrical field and comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems.

The role requires the ability to work under supervision in both routine and emergency conditions. Additional preferences include troubleshooting experience with fire alarm and security systems, as well as a valid Maryland driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Four years progressively responsible experience in the electrical trade.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Valid non-commercial Class C driver’s license in Maryland may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical work at the journey level.
• Install, maintain, and repair equipment and electrical circuits.
• Work under general supervision.
