Job summary

Georgetown University seeks an Electrician to maintain electrical systems, fixtures and related components across on-campus facilities in Washington, DC. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week role requires a journeyman license, an apprenticeship or equivalent training, and a valid DC/VA/MD driver’s license, with adherence to safety rules and regulations.

You will respond to service calls, perform scheduled preventative maintenance, and cooperate with the Low Voltage Electric Supervisor and zone

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
Completion of apprenticeship or equivalent training in the electrician trade; must have a current journeyman electrical license for the District of Columbia.
Must possess valid DC, VA or MD driver’s license.
Incumbent is subject to random and for cause drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

Maintain electrical systems, fixtures and related components.
Provide daily maintenance support including responses to service calls and scheduled preventative maintenance.
Perform journey-level maintenance and repairs following industry/trade practices.
Observe safety rules, codes, regulations and use standard tools and materials.
