Job summary

The University of St. Thomas invites qualified candidates to apply for a Journeyman Electrician position within Facilities Management. This role runs 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Apprenticeship program completed with 2+ years of service experience and Class A license.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, safety and lockout/tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain high and low voltage electrical systems and lighting.
• Install and service fire alarm, clock, and emergency systems.
• Support campus events and projects with electrical expertise.
• Troubleshoot HVAC-related electrical controls in collaboration with mechanical staff.
• Conduct area surveys and ensure compliance with safety standards.
