Then we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Journeyman Electrician for our 2nd or 3rd shift. This role requires a keen understanding of equipment maintenance, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the facility does not deteriorate.
• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and component replacement on electrical systems and manufacturing equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings to perform necessary tasks.
• Utilize CMMS platform and software for maintenance tracking and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC controlled equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
• Assist in other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Electrician License required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with CMMS platform and software.
• Solid understanding and experience with preventive maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge and experience with electrical systems and PLC.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with team members at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift, including every other weekend.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
