Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift in Coldwater, MI. The role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and improving production and facility equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has hands-on electrical troubleshooting skills, reads schematics, and supports safety and preventive maintenance in a heavy industrial environment. This is a full-time, permanent position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a maintenance technician role, preferably within the Accounting and Finance industry.
  • Proven experience with electrical troubleshooting and the ability to read and understand schematics.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, and electronics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • High safety awareness and knowledge of safe working techniques.
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift hours and be available for occasional overtime and weekend work as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical problems in various company systems and equipment.
  • Read and understand electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the facility does not deteriorate.
  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance procedures to minimize equipment downtime and maintenance costs.
  • Coordinate with the production team to schedule maintenance activities with minimal production interruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Document and maintain records of all maintenance and repair work.
  • Evaluate problematic systems or facilities and recommend or design improvements.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
