AdventHealth in Killeen, Texas is seeking a skilled maintenance electrician to perform electrical maintenance, installations, and modifications in a healthcare facility. You will manage on-site repairs across HVAC, plumbing, and alarm systems, and ensure code compliance while supporting new process development.

Candidate should have 5+ years of electrician maintenance experience, DL, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance and repair to code standards.
• Ability to read blueprints and work from sketches.
• Strong English communication and record-keeping.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and systems.
• Generate material requisitions and assign priorities.
• Document maintenance logs and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Maintains tools and equipment in good working order.
• Performs electrical equipment maintenance, installations, and modifications per codes.
• Assists in painting, plumbing, HVAC, locksmith, and alarm systems repairs.
• Troubleshoots machinery and systems with limited guidance.
• Monitors outside contractor work and ensures proper results.
• Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Supports development of new processes and services.
• Keeps complete maintenance records and logs up to date.

Job Description:

Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm

Rotating On Call

• Manages and maintains tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Coordinates and performs electrical equipment maintenance, installations, and modifications per all applicable codes and regulations.
• Assists in the operation and general maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, locksmith, and alarm systems, overseeing essential repairs and other duties as requested.
• Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures, under limited guidance.
• Monitors work performed by outside contractors to ensure requirements are met and results are documented properly.
• Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Responds to emergency calls in accordance with facility needs. Provides on-the-job skills training to enhance team capabilities.
• Supports and contributes to the development of new processes, products, or services.
• Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
• Remains current on maintenance logs and documentation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to perform electrical equipment maintenance, installations and modifications per all applicable codes and regulations [Required]
• Ability to assist in contributing to system training manuals and upgrades as changes occur [Required]
• Able to communicate in English [Required]
• Must have the ability to document records neatly and accurately [Required]
• Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies [Required]
• Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner [Required]
• Ability to instruct others as per blueprints and work from sketches [Required]
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form [Required]
• Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals [Required]
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist [Required]
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes [Required]
• Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment [Required]
• Basic Microsoft office computer skills [Required]

Education:

• High school/equivalent grad or 5+ years experience [Required]
• Master's [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 5+ years of electrician maintenance experience [Required]
• 2+ years of healthcare maintenance [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Driver's License (DL) [Required]
• Journeyman Electrician is only being considered at this location
