Ipsun Solar is hiring a Journeyman Electrician to install and wire solar equipment on residential and commercial properties in Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland. You will work closely with Solar Installers and project managers to ensure timely, safe, and compliant installations.

The role requires a licensed electrician, experience with solar PV, and strong safety discipline. A valid driver’s license and ability to work in varied weather conditions are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; license/certification preferred.
• Certified electrician with experience in electrical installations, bending pipe, and wiring.
• Experience with battery installations and electrical systems.
• Commercial electrical experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with solar PV systems and solar installations is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

• Install and wire solar panels, inverters, and electrical components on residential and commercial properties, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve any issues or malfunctions efficiently and effectively.
• Collaborate closely with other team members, including Solar Installers and project managers, to coordinate and complete installations on time and within budget.
• Adhere to established procedures and guidelines to maintain quality and safety standards throughout the installation process.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe and productive working environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

You’re a Great Fit If You Have:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified electrician with experience in electrical installations, bending pipe, and wiring
• Experience with Battery Installations and Electrical
• Commercial electrical experience is a huge plus
• Familiarity with solar PV systems and previous experience in solar installation is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Salary range: $40 - $45 per hour plus bonuses
