Ipsun Solar is hiring a Journeyman Electrician to install and wire solar equipment on residential and commercial properties in Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland. You will work closely with Solar Installers and project managers to ensure timely, safe, and compliant installations.

The role requires a licensed electrician, experience with solar PV, and strong safety discipline. A valid driver’s license and ability to work in varied weather conditions are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; license/certification preferred.
• Certified electrician with experience in electrical installations, bending pipe, and wiring.
• Experience with battery installations and electrical systems.
• Commercial electrical experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with solar PV systems and solar installations is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire solar panels, inverters, and electrical components on residential and commercial properties, ensuring safety and standards compliance.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve malfunctions efficiently.
• Collaborate with Solar Installers and project managers to complete installations on time and within budget.
• Adhere to procedures to maintain quality and safety throughout the installation process.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
