Job summary

Ipsun Solar is seeking an experienced Solar Crew Lead to oversee installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of solar systems. You will lead a crew, ensure safety, and deliver high-quality service to customers.

This role requires 3–5 years of solar installation experience, proficiency with Enphase and SolarEdge, and the ability to manage multiple people while coordinating with project management. A valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years solar installation experience.
• Experience with Enphase, SolarEdge, multiple module brands, SnapNRack and IronRidge.
• Proven history of managing multiple people and motivating them.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of solar systems.
• Train crew on electrical and mechanical best practices.
• Verify pre-assembled components in warehouse.
• Layout and mount solar modules and racking.
• Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and equipment.
• Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC).
• Document completion of installations.
• Attend mandatory safety trainings and ensure site safety.
• Coordinate with project management to optimize workflow.

Ipsun Solar, a subsidiary of Civic Renewables is a private equity-backed provider and we are looking to add an experiencedCrew lead to our growing team.

As a Solar Crew Lead at Ipsun Solar, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar systems. You'll be at the forefront of our mission, ensuring seamless operations, exceptional service delivery, and the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Technical Expertise: Lead a team in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of solar systems. Demonstrate comprehensive technical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot independently while collaborating effectively with the office support team when needed. Responsible for leading your crew members and follow all safety procedures
• Train and teach your crew members about electrical and mechanical best practices
• Verify pre-assemble job components in the warehouse
• Layout and assembly of solar modules/array and mounting hardware.
• Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment.
• Electrical wiring of solar array/system, both AC and DC (Crew lead is responsible; Roof lead as they learn)
• Document completion of completed installation.
• Clean up of the job site.
• Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety.
• Efficient Service Calls Management: Hustle to efficiently clear service calls, demonstrating agility and problem-solving skills to address issues promptly. Coordinate closely with the project management team to optimize workflow and ensure timely resolution of client concerns.
• Customer Service Excellence: Uphold Ipsun Solar's commitment to stellar customer service. Engage with clients professionally, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and providing guidance on system operations and maintenance.
• Coordination and Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication channels with the project management team, providing regular updates on job progress, challenges faced, and solutions implemented.
• Experience: Proven experience in solar system installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, with a track record of successful leadership in a similar role.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of solar PV systems, electrical components, and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 3 to 5 years of solar installation experience
• Experience with Enphase, solar edge, multiple module brands, snap n rack, and iron ridge
• Proven history of managing multiple people and successfully keeping them motivated
• Ability to work with computer systems and mobile apps to manage project information and communication with Project Management team
• Must be able to lift 50lb
• Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, etc.).
• Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and able to work on your feet for long periods of time

All Candidates must have:

• Excellent customer service skills required
• Must have a valid state driver’s license
• Must have a clean driving record (example- no DUI in the last 5 years)
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal, driving and drug screen

Pay & Benefits

Pay Range: $33 - 35/hour
